The Mallala Museum is located in Mallala in South Australia, a small rural community, 60 kilometres north of Adelaide.
The Museum is housed in the former Flour Mill, which operated in the late 1800′s.
It is managed by the Mallala & Districts Historical Committee, a small volunteer group.
You will find in the museum collections of both local and national significance. These include a comprehensive photographic interpretive, and memorabilia display of the establishment of the town of Mallala and an exhibition dedicated to the local men and women who served their fellow Australians during times of conflict in the Boer War, WW1 and WW2, in the arenas of conflict inĀ Vietnam, Malaysia and Borneo, and during peacekeeping activities. This exhibition also describes the role played by the RAAF No 6 Service Flight Training School, which operated at Mallala during world War Two.
The museum also houses an interesting collection of farm machinery, and household items from times past.
Opening times are from 2 to 4.30 every Sunday, at 1 Dublin Road, Mallala
